Melissa Pender, Principal of Coosa Elementary, has been named the District's 2024-25 Principal of the Year. Whitney Harris of Mossy Oaks Elementary has been awarded the title of District Assistant Principal of the Year.

“Last year, we were glad to be able to offer this at 20+ schools, but now we are ecstatic to expand this to all of our schools,” said Superintendent Frank Rodriguez.
The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
This year’s Expo is set for Saturday, July 27, at Battery Creek High School, located at 1 Blue Dolphin Drive in Beaufort. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Beaufort County School District (BCSD) invites students, families, staff, and the greater community to provide input on the district’s new visual identity and tagline during the month of May.
The comprehensive 4.5 year construction project will replace the majority of Hilton Head Island High School’s older classroom facilities originally built in 1983 with a new three-story classroom wing, alongside an extensive campus-wide renovation.
Dr. Rodriguez will be recognized throughout the year for his accomplishments. Moseley Architects supports this award by providing a scholarship to the winner to be used to assist a student or teacher with professional development or college courses.
The first forum will be held in the Bluffton High School cafeteria at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. The second will be held in the Beaufort High School cafeteria at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 2.

On Saturday, November 19, 2022, twenty-nine WBECHS Warrior Band musicians participated in the South Carolina State University Marching 101 HS Band Day, along with 1100 other high school and middle school musicians from across the southeast and east coast.
Students participated in a Science Fair to show their scientific knowledge.

Warriors joined the celebration at the 38th Annual Heritage Parade on St. Helena Island!!!!
The grant project will expand USCB’s recruitment, preparation, and support of highly qualified, diverse teacher candidates for 21 high-need schools in the Beaufort County School District.
The GenCyber grant enables BCSD to expand its offering of high-quality computer science and cybersecurity educational experiences to students.
Grants totaling over $29,000 were awarded to teachers and schools for innovative learning opportunities and projects that go beyond the regular school district budget.
An initial meeting for committee members will be held on November 17, 2022.

The Beaufort County Board of Education approved the authorization of Superintendent Frank Rodriguez to pay a 3% cost of living increase to full-time active employees as of May 27, 2022. This payment will be retroactive to the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.
