DEVICE Distribution & COLLECTION Information
The Technology Support for Students and Parent website has been developed by the BCSD EdTech Department to support families and students who are utilizing district technology for learning.
As a 1:1 district, each student in a Beaufort County school receives a device for educational enhancement for only $20 a year. Parents and students will need read the Technology Acceptable Use Policy and submit the Technology Connect2Learn Agreement Form. The Replacement Pricing for the HP X360 is listed below. All students must return their school-issued laptops, chargers, laptop bags, and any other technology items such as mobile hotspots at the end of each year. This ensures a smooth transition into the next academic year.
Please reach out to Mrs. Rivers, our Bookkeeper, to settle any remaining balances for outstanding technology fines or promissory notes accrued during this school year. Failure to return these items may result in the inability to access new technology resources during the next school year.
You can conveniently pay fines and fees online by visiting our school website at https://wbechs.beaufortschools.net/ and selecting the "Online Payments" option. TCL students planning to retain their device over the summer, please note the requirement of a $20 technology usage fee which goes toward the next school year. It's essential to settle this fee using the Online School Payment (OSP) portal accessible on our school website before the end-of-the-year technology collection date. Additionally, students must coordinate with Dr. Middleton to check in/out their devices during their designated days of the end-of-year collection process.
