Greetings Parents and Students,
Welcome to English I! My name is Mrs. Freda McCanick, and I am the 9th grade English teacher. I am so excited to have the pleasure of enriching your life with the exciting yet challenging aspects of English. I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, however I have lived in the Charleston area for the last 9 years. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Women’s Studies at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, and a Master’s degree in Literacy from Concordia University. Currently, I am working on my second Master’s degree in English. I am look forward to working with you throughout the year and in the future.
